Overdue News

So I have been remiss on postings here. Life just got, well, busy! It's been so long, rather than attempt to recap everything, I am going to start with my most recent announcement, and work my way backwards a bit.

Roost Arts Fall Member's Showcase, Highland, NY. September 19 - October 13, 2024. As a new member of this art collective, I am thrilled to be participating in this showcase with other member artists. I will have three pieces in this fall show at Studio 89, 89 Vineyard Ave, Highland, NY.

Solo Exhibit at Sea Salt restaurant, Marblehead, MA. September 1 - December 1, 2024. Just got back from installing my latest mixed media artworks at this restaurant. The 9 pieces look great in the space and I feel proud of the show I have on display.

Festival of the Arts, Marblehead, MA. July 4 - 6, 2024. Excited that in my first time entering this art festival, I won the prize of Best in Show for mixed media. The piece that won - "Bish Bash Falls" - was a combined father-daughter painting, with watercolor and mosaic tiles. After my father's death, I created several of what I call postmortem conversations, where I added mosaics to my father's watercolors. As part of my grieving process, I was able to remain connected to my father through the creative process and the love of art we shared.

Bliss Co-Op, Sugarloaf, NY. June 2024 - Present. Found this sweet women's art co-op just an 1h15min from NYC in the little village of Sugarloaf. This co-op is open Friday - Sunday and now carries my mosaics along with a wide selection of clothing, jewelry, and other crafts all made by women.

Roost Arts Hudson Valley, NY. May 2024 - Present. I joined this art collective in May, wanting to connect with more artists outside of NYC and create more opportunities to showcase my artwork in the Hudson Valley.

Crafteria, Roanoke, VA. 2019 - present. I continue to have a maker's booth at this craft market in downtown Roanoke. This was the first shop to carry my pieces and it holds a special place in my heart. Even though I live in NYC now, I still travel down to Roanoke regularly and update my booth with mosaic pieces.

Feeling very fulfilled and gradually more established as an artist as I find new outlets to show my work, a wider range of clients, and more connections with other artists in multiple states. This also keeps me on my game and continues to inspire and push me to experiment with my artistic style.
